Truth of the universe
The design is inspired by the Great Buddha of Todaiji Temple in Nara.
"Birushanabutsu" is a central figure in the "Kegon" Sutra, and is the same Buddha as "Dainichi Nyorai" in esoteric Buddhism.
He is a cosmic buddha that illuminates the truth of the universe, and leads all people to enlightenment.
The kanji on the back is "Kegon" , and the Kanji poem on the chest means "Everything exists only in the mind".
