The Tengu is the red devil with an outlandish nose! Half-human, half-bird, it is something of a forest goblin. It is possibly related to the Hindu god, Garuda.
Devil though he may be, in Japan the tengu is treasured as a symbol of power and strength, frightening off any influence that may lead you astray.
