Peony is a rendition of the late-sixteenth work by Yusho Kaiho and is in Myoshinji Zen Temple in Kyoto. Kaiho was renowned for his skill with India ink. This work is a masterpiece of color painting that expresses the sophistication of the Momoyama Period.
