Mizu Uchiwa, the so-called Water Fan, is a traditional craft born from Gifu's unique river culture in Japan.
A very thin Japanese paper made from a plant called 'kanpishi' is affixed and finished with a special water-repellent natural varnish. The appearance is transparent and cool, and it is said that the name Mizu Uchiwa comes from the legend that people slightly had wet it with water from the river to fan themselves.
Contained in a cosmetic box with a rosewood pedestal for the exclusive use of Mizu Uchiwa.
