Mercy and power
The design is based on the 'Senju Kannon' of Sanjusangendo in Kyoto.
Thousand-handed Kannon Bodhisattva is a Buddha with mercy and vast power, who has various tools in a thousand hands and can save any human being without leaking.
The kanji is "Thousand Arms and Thousand Eyes Kannon Bosatsu".
It is another name for Senju Kannon Bodhisattva, who is said to have one eye on each of his thousand hands.
